Starting a new TimeTable Project.
Starting a new TimeTable from Windows Start
To start a new TimeTable project there are 2 ways. Hit Start --> Buildfore --> and choose the template you want to use.
If your using Visio 2010 then be sure to pick one of the 2010 Templates, otherwise, use 2013+.
TimeTable uses set scales, for example 1 day = 1/4" or 1 day = 20mm. If you'd like to use inches then pick an Imperial Template, otherwise millimeters are used in the Metric templates.
Starting a New TimeTable from Visio
The other way is to start Visio, and if you don't already see the TimeTable template then go to Categories --> Buildfore --> and the Template is here... Using this template the first time will keep it in the forefront of the backstage moving forward.
Re-enabling TimeTable Visio
Note: If for some reason Visio crashes or it asks you to disable TimeTable: DO NOT do this. CLICK NO.
If you start a new TimeTable and don't see the TimeTable tab in the ribbon then you may have done this by accident, don't worry its easy to bring the plugin back. In Visio, click on File --> Options --> Add Ins then if you see TimeTable under Inactive Add ins just go down to the Manage Add Ins selector and hit Go.
From there, click on the checkbox next to TimeTable and hit Ok.. Restart Visio and you should be good to go.
Activating TimeTable Visio
TimeTable Visio Free and Pro use the same installer. Some functionality is inactive in the Free version until you activate the Pro license.
At installation you'll be prompted to enter your license #. When the license is entered for the first time you will need to restart Visio.
If you're not sure whether you have activated TimeTable Visio Pro then you click on the TimeTable logo in the TimeTable ribbon under the About panel (see image above), and then click on license.
